Edward Conner, MD

Ed has served as Ardelyx’s Chief Medical Officer since August 2025. He is a seasoned biopharmaceutical executive with more than two decades of experience advancing innovative therapies through clinical development and regulatory approval across a number of therapeutic areas.

Ed joins Ardelyx from Third Harmonic Bio, where he served as Chief Medical Officer and oversaw the clinical development strategy for the company’s lead product candidate.

Prior to his time at Third Harmonic, Ed held senior leadership positions at Locanbio, Audentes Therapeutics (acquired by Astellas) and Sangamo Therapeutics, where he was instrumental in the development of novel medicines across therapeutic areas
including nephrology, gastroenterology and rare diseases, among others. His expertise spans all stages of drug development—from translational science and clinical trial design to regulatory engagement and post-market evidence generation.

Ed earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Duke University and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco. Ed completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan and his fellowship in clinical immunology and allergic diseases at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
